York City's Logos Academy to host summit on anti-trafficking safety on Saturday

On Saturday, Unstoppable You Ministries Inc., in collaboration with the York County Safety Collab and I Am Integrity, will present the first Anti-Trafficking Safety Summit: Your Safe Place is Here.

The summit is dedicated to raising awareness, providing resources, and fostering a safe space for survivors of human trafficking in Central Pennsylvania.

According to U.S. data provided by the National Human Trafficking Hotline, in 2024, Pennsylvania ranked 11th for the highest number of reported cases, down from ninth highest in 2023. Human trafficking is the world’s fastest-growing criminal enterprise, valued to be an estimated $32 billion-a-year global industry, according to a Department of Justice report on Feb 21.

The summit will feature keynote speakers Cassie Smith, survivor advocate/community educator and CEO and founder of Brave the Darkness LLC., Detective Agnes Watson from the Rialto, California, police department, and Candace Burke-Parrott, CEO and founder of Freshwaters.
